No More Room in Hell 2 Release Date — Out Now

No More Room in Hell 2 released its 1.0 'Armageddon' version in August 2026 — Early Access history, console rollout and the numbers from launch.

No More Room in Hell 2 is out now

No More Room in Hell 2's 1.0 release — the "Armageddon" update — landed in August 2026 (August 4 per our launch-era tracking), moving the game out of Early Access and onto the full co-op stage. The official channel marked the journey with a "Road to 1.0 Overview" (33K+ views) and celebrated the launch with the "Armageddon (1.0) Update Overview" (67K+ views), alongside a 1.0 Launch Trailer.

From Early Access to 1.0

The game ran in Early Access before 1.0 — a period community veterans remember for its periodic character wipes ("the wipe announcement" era on r/nmrih) and constant iteration. The payoff, per the developer's own "Beyond Armageddon" blog (August 20, 2026):

  • Over 1,000,000 players have played No More Room in Hell 2 since Early Access
  • 500,000 of those players joined from the 1.0 launch onwards — "on PC and consoles"

That blog also frames what 1.0 delivered: the full co-op objective experience, the Survival horde-defense mode, rescue beacons protecting characters from permanent loss, and major performance and optimization improvements — including official Steam Deck support (rated "Playable", tested August 13, 2026).

The console rollout

Consoles arrived in the 1.0 window: PS5 and Xbox versions joined the ecosystem in August 2026, with community threads ("No more room in hell 2 just dropped on PS5") and review videos ("No More Room in Hell 2 Is FINALLY On Consoles… And It's…") marking the moment. This expanded the crossplay pool beyond the PC original — see our crossplay and platforms pages.

Launch numbers

The launch window delivered the game's concurrent records: an all-time peak of 16,330 players on August 23, 2026 and a 24-hour peak of 13,980 (per SteamDB) — details on our player count page.

What came after launch

Launch wasn't a finished story — the "Beyond Armageddon" roadmap blog laid out multiple 2026 updates (two slated for Autumn): September's Lewiston objective permutations, a brand-new Pottsville scenario and new weapon attachments; October gameplay items; and later in Autumn, endgame systems (Responder Retirement, Responder Memorial) and Hell Mode targeted before year's end.
